How it works
Why AI needs a network like yours
What AI labs need, what your network gives them, and what happens between. Six sections, one path through the diagram. Read in order, or jump where useful.
01 / The bottleneck
The data centers AI calls home are being blocked
Foundation models are excellent at reasoning over what they were trained on. They are weak at one thing: real-time access to the live, public web at the speed and scale modern AI applications now demand.
The problem isn't the model it's the internet path
When a user asks an LLM to verify a fact, summarize a news article, or check a price, the model needs to actually visit the live web – not a stale index, not a cached copy. Centralized data-center IPs hit aggressive rate limits, get blocked at the edge, and route through a handful of geographies.
A globally distributed, consent-based residential network removes the bottleneck at its source. Requests arrive looking like the traffic the public web was built to serve.
01
Geographic concentration
Most data-center IPs live in five regions. The web you actually want to read does not.
02
Rate limits and blocks
Sites legitimately throttle data-center traffic — even when the request is read-only and benign.
03
Latency under load
Centralized fetch queues spike when many models query at once. Distributed nodes don’t share a queue.
02 / The system
Four parts & one direction of flow
The whole product fits on one diagram. Demand on the right, supply on the left, a consent-gated routing layer in the middle.
Partner node
An opted-in source category contributing supply
Gateway
Consent check, route, audit. The only point of control.
LLM endpoint
A vetted partner consuming routed capacity.
Active route
A live request in flight. Inactive routes shown dashed.
03 / The request
One request four steps
What actually happens between an LLM saying “fetch this URL” and the response coming back. Stepped through in real time, with the metrics that matter at each stage.
T+0 ms · LLM partner emits a request
A foundation model needs live web
An LLM partner’s pipeline issues a request for a specific URL — a news page, a product listing, a documentation site. The gateway accepts the job and tags it with a workload class and target geography.

A single HTTP request & nothing else
The node makes one outbound, public, read-only request. Exactly the kind of traffic the page was built to serve. No local files are touched. No cookies are read. No data is stored on the device. The request leaves no footprint.

04/ The guarantees
What the system does & what it doesn't
Most trust questions about residential networks resolve into the same shape: “what can it touch, and what can it never touch?” Here is each side, plainly.
- Never
What it does not do
X
Read personal data. No access to local files, contacts, photos, cookies, or browsing history.
X
Inspect or decrypt traffic. The node is a network conduit, not an observer.
X
Run on non-consenting users. Opt-in is enforced at the Module layer, not the marketing layer.
X
Route to illegal or age-inappropriate destinations. Targets are vetted before traffic flows.
X
Persist anything on the device. No cache, no log file, no leftover entries.
X
Affect device performance. Capped to a small fraction of unused bandwidth and idle CPU.
+ Always
What it guarantees
✓
Explicit, revocable consent. Users opt in, see what they agreed to, and can stop at any time.
✓
Real-time anomaly blocking. Suspicious traffic is stopped at the gateway, not after the fact.
✓
KYC on every demand-side counterparty. No unknown buyers. No anonymous resale.
✓
Independent pentesting. Continuous testing by Blaze Infosec; results reviewable under NDA.
✓
GDPR & CCPA compliant by design. The system is built so the controls already pass.
✓
Full reports visible to you. Everything regarding monetizable connections logged and surfaced in your dashboard.
05 / The dashboard
What you see, the moment traffic flows
The partner portal or dashboard is your key to the AI Gateway network. Offering setup tutorials, all the modules and performance monitoring through various layers.
